Philosophy 01

01Daiken Sekkei Philosophy

Architecture is culture, and a cornerstone of society. That is to say, it must meet the needs of society in the current era, while maintaining a universal value which will not erode with time.

Therefore, architectural design should proceed not as a passing whim or personal vision, but rather as a cooperative dialogue among all stakeholders, and centering on the client. We believe that an organization including imaginative designers and a wealth of technical experience is necessary to achieve this.

Since its founding in 1948, Daiken Sekkei has operated as an independent general firm, always maintaining the ability to prioritize real profits for clients and society through architectural design, while continuing to develop healthy creativity and guaranteed technical expertise, making broad contributions to society through efforts toward human-centered urban design and global environmental protection.

The functions society requires of design firms grow more sophisticated and diverse by the day. We continually strive to improve our company, endeavoring to acquire and develop new knowledge and skills in order to keep growing as a company capable of meeting a wide variety of societal needs.
