2020Deputy Director of the Osaka Office (his current position).

Born in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, I grew up in a town rich in history and nature. I was a very curious child, and loved taking apart electrical appliances to see how they worked. (I couldn’t put them back together, though, which got me in trouble!) If I do say so myself, this habit of exploring how and why things work is something that I apply in my current position.

Work experience

When I joined DAIKEN SEKKEI, I wrote on my resume that I wanted to design architecture that would still be there after I am gone. At the Kyoto Office, I mainly designed public facilities such as elementary schools, outdoor activity centers, and university and government buildings. Since moving to the Osaka Office and shifting to designing production facilities such as school lunch preparation centers and factories, I have been involved in a broad range of projects.

Away from work

My hobbies include watching movies and listening to music. On weekends and holidays, I enjoy alone time in my room surrounded by eight speakers turned up to high volume. However, I also remember to travel and shop from time to time to keep things peaceful at home.
