Born in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture I joined DAIKEN SEKKEI in 1989 and was assigned to the Fukuoka Office (now the Kyushu Office). From there, I worked in design and planning for 31 years in Fukuoka. I served as General Manager of the Kyushu Office for four years before transferring to Tokyo on my own in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, I have managed the back-office for the Corporate Management Group at the Head Office.

Things have changed both in operational aspects, such as respect for diversity and generational differences in values, and in structural aspects, such as the rapid expansion of DX. With the times change at an increasing pace, the company needs to make flexible and bold changes both in the content of our work and in how we operate. Looking ahead to the future, we aim to become an organization that constantly grows to provide new value, and we work with the concept of “harmony is to be prized” in mind, leading to optimal solutions through discussions between people.

Life at my post away from home

I enjoy cooking as a hobby, which I picked up during the COVID-19 pandemic. In my time off, I practice the piano to keep my brain active and work my fingers. When I visit home, I enjoy traveling to visit old structures such as temples, shrines, temples, and stone-walls.
